Membership Benefits:
Access to Premium Tools: As a member, you'll enjoy unrestricted access to our wide range of premium tools and equipment, including abrasive waterjet cutters, metalworking tools, electronics workbenches, 3D printers, blacksmithing forges, and PLC/industrial robot programming stations. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, our tools are at your disposal.
Included Classes: Members receive exclusive access to our weekend classes and workshops. Hone your skills, learn new techniques, and discover the world of craftsmanship. Requires purchase of consumables through class.

Membership Pricing and Tiers:
Free Intro Membership*: Allows limited supervised access to tools and weekend classes, depending on aide availability, and requires advanced coordination.
This tier is intended to give an introduction to what is available at The Backyard Shop, and limited access to tools and training. Membership can be extended month to month with 8 hours of volunteered time in the current month.
Student Membership*: $25 + 4 hours of volunteered time per month.
Tailored to students and young creatives, this membership offers affordable access to the tools and resources at The Backyard Shop. A valid student ID is required.
Community Membership*: $100 per month, requires an additional 6 hours per month of volunteered time.
Volunteered time can be spent towards shopkeeping, shop aide, or as a lesson leader. Hours roll over up to 1 month.
Additional cost offset is available at a rate of -$10/hour up to 9 hours.Individual Membership: $200 per month
